Life is more than dancing? Of course! We’ve selected some nice non-dancing afternoon activities. Perfect to get out of the dancing bubble and be refreshed for the evening parties.

You’ll be able to register for Out of the Box activities at the festival.

Vintage-shopping in Gent (12:30 – 15:30)

Did you know Gent is one of the vintage hotspots of Europe? Local dancer Sarah is very excited to show you some of our cozy shopping streets and guide you to some of our hidden vintage shops.

Christmas market + Ice-skating (16:15 – 19:00)

The Christmas market is the place to enjoy the magical beauty of Gent. Jean-Pierre will make sure you never forget your first Christmas market in Gent. There is also a nice ice rink, so don’t forget to bring warm socks.

Museum visit (12:30 – 15:30)

Maaike is our very own museum expert and she is proud to show you some of the Gent heritage. Join her on a visit to the ultimate Gent symbol: the Gravensteen (or “Castle of the Counts”). And follow her to ye olde Huis Van Alijn, where you fall through the cracks of time, right back into daily life in the 20th century.

Sauna & Water slide paradise (16:15 – 19:00)

Perfect for relaxing after two days of dancing and gaining some energy. Philippe will take you to “Rozebroeken”, our unique water and wellness paradise. It combines a beautiful swimming pool full of water slides with a nice, relaxing spa. (warm lagoon, herbal sauna, Finnish sauna, steam bath). Don’t forget your swimsuit.

Nature walk at Bourgoyen-Ossemeersen (12:30 – 15:30)

No better way to start your Sunday than with a nice walk in nature, taking in some fresh air. Sarah will guide you to the “Bourgoyen-Ossemeersen”, a green oasis in the outskirts of Gent. We will walk around 5 km in these 220 hectares of nature. The Bourgoyen-Ossemeersen is especially known for the large numbers of waterbirds in the wintertime.

Beertasting pubcrawl (16:15 – 19:00)

We claim to have the best beers in the world, and we have amazing cozy bars in Gent. We are of course all convinced of this and f***ing proud of it. Christophe will take you on a discovery tour that will add an extra dimension to your Gent experience.
