Baptized Eleanor, this band swings to meet its audience. Nette’s voice makes one dream away to other times and places. In a journey through time she stops at Billie Holiday, Mildred Bailey and Maxine Sullivan. Pieter and Sam have been forming a solid rhythm section for years, pulling the sounds of manouche swing from under the dust. Meanwhile, Anton plays the beautiful melodies of swing jazz from the ’20s to the ’40s with idiosyncratic interpretation.
